I’m Zahra, a Black indie contemporary romance author writing emotionally grounded, character-driven love stories where Black women are centered, desired, and deeply loved.

My books explore connection, longing, intimacy, and joy. I pair Black women with diverse men who love them boldly, tenderly, and without apology, because love should feel intentional, affirming, and real.

A little about me

Writing about myself has always felt a little strange. I’m much more comfortable bringing characters to life than talking about me. But here’s a glimpse into my world.

I’m a single mom to twins, a taco enthusiast, and the kind of person who will dance in the kitchen… or the living room… or honestly, anywhere. I usually write two or three books at the same time (character mix-ups included), talk a lot, and follow my curiosity wherever the story leads.

I live with ADHD, which means my brain is always buzzing with ideas, and my stories tend to grow from feeling first, outlining second. Welcome to my world. I’m really glad you’re here.
